The Downtown Castle Rock Alliance had the opportunity to sit down with Gail & Tony Berberich, the owners of Glacier Ice Cream & Gelato. Here are some of our favorite questions that we got to discuss with Gail and Tony.
Favorite thing about owning a small business?
We enjoy having a small business because it is our's to build the personality that fits our family. We love creating special memories for other families around ice cream and gelato. We also love the interaction with the community of Castle Rock, and feel very honored to be an intimate part of Castle Rock and Douglas County. There is so much about feeling a part of the community that makes owning this small business a very big business!
Favorite place to visit in Downtown Castle Rock?
Ecclesia because it has several small restaurants with outside seating and a comfortable atmosphere. We enjoy walking in the park and on the trails because it is fun to be a part of the busy buzz. We stop into different restaurants all the time.
Favorite day of the year to own a small business?
No single day, our goal is to enjoy our business and work, when it becomes a job, we bring ourselves back to the basics and building something that we would want to come to.
What’s something unique that people may not know about you or your business?
We really make all our products by hand from homemade recipes; when we say "Homemade with Love" we mean it!
