Looking for a Wednesday morning pick-me-up, maybe a cup of coffee? You are in the right spot! Today on the Downtown Castle Rock Business Highlight we will be learning more about LostCoffee.
Lost Coffee has been a part of Downtown Castle Rock for the last ten years! The coffee shop is located at 390 Perry Street.
LostCoffee’s mission is to inspire the world through their craft, care, and conscience. Their mission starts with the farmers and importers they partner with every month. LostCoffee pays premiums to ensure their money is funneled from your cup back to the farmers. Their products and services extend beyond the farmer to the people who are often neglected behind the scenes. LostCoffee supports organizations in a variety of different ways. If you are looking for a way to give back check out their website: https://www.lostcoffee.com/giving.

The Downtown Castle Rock Alliance had the opportunity to sit down with Scott Gaerte, the owner of the LostCoffee. Below are a few of our favorite questions we gt to discuss with Scott.
Why did you choose Downtown/what attracted you to owning a business in Castle Rock?
Castle Rock is an inspirational community and we wanted to be a part of the exciting culture in Downtown.
Tell us the story/background of your business. How did you end up running a business in your industry?
Leaving a corporate coffee job to start my own business, I was an idealist. I had a desire to see greater care for the community, better coffee buying practices, and a stronger sense of craft. Coffee is where the local community is impacted through retail shops and the global community is impacted through our buying practices. I had a passion to create something better. I am proud that we are leading the way in purchasing coffee that does good while serving our customers in a way that also does good for our community. That is what inspires me to be in this business.
Favorite thing about owning a small business?
My favorite thing about owning a small business is serving the community in a relationship that has mutuality. We provide great coffee and services and in return folks chose to visit us with their dollar. We also exchange gratitude for the experiences we share together.
Favorite day of the year to own a small business?
We love Starlighting and every event that takes place in Downtown. We get to see all our friends at once
What are the easiest ways customers can support your small business right now?
Not just now, but always, buy local coffee. We would love to have your business, but we understand that we are a community with a couple of options. Skip the drive through and choose the local coffee shop. We would love it if you chose us, but we appreciate anytime you support a local company.
You can support LostCoffee right now by swinging by the store to grab a cup of coffee or coffee grounds for later! They are currently open from 6:30am- 5:00pm every day of the week.
Help us #CelebrateCastleRock by liking, sharing and supporting #DowntownCastleRock Businesses.

Baldi's Basics is a game where players have to find their way through a confusing maze of halls, classes, and other places while taking notes.
Forgo the convenience of a dordle drive-through and go for the nearby coffee shop. We would really welcome your selection of our services, but, we understand and value any assistance you may provide to a local enterprise.
