The Downtown Castle Rock Alliance had the opportunity to sit down with Stephanie Bova, a owner of the Miss M’s Tea Parlour. Below are a few of our favorite questions we got to discuss with Stephanie.
Why did you choose Downtown/what attracted you to owning a business in Castle Rock?
We love the location that we are at! We are located on 4th and Wilcox right in the heart of historic Downtown. We think this is a prime location for walk by traffic and events. Castle Rock is such a growing community and hot spot, so we love being a part of it!
Tell us the story/background of your business. How did you end up running a business in your industry?
I managed a hair salon for the last 9 years as well as bartended for 10 years. My mother, Susan, has a background in event planning and marketing. Both of our backgrounds were perfect to open our business. We got to combine our multiple passions into one business!
Favorite thing about owning a small business?
All the hard work and dedication that goes into owning a small business is worth it! Our favorite thing about owning a small business is that we are about to take the visions and ideas that we have and make it happen in real life. There are so many cute ideas that we can incorporate into our business. It is a ton of fun!
Favorite place to visit in Downtown Castle Rock?
There are still a lot of restaurants that I want to try but the B&B and Dos Amigos are two of my favorite restaurants! We have taken our family out to zipline and walk around the trails and parks. We also love attending the variety of events in Downtown like Oktoberfest!
What’s the easiest way customers can support your small business right now?
The best way people could support us would be to book a tea party. We are offering to provide a free cake when your reservation is made. The other way would be to spread the word that we need 2 more hair stylists. Also, our esthetician can do a free eyebrow wax with the purchase of another service. We can do a mini facial, blowout, and tea for $100 or if you bring a friend, we can do $150 for two people.
Help us #CelebrateCastleRock by liking, sharing and supporting #DowntownCastleRock Businesses.
