PROGRAMS
FACADE IMPROVEMENT
The DDA has a goal to help beautify and improve the facades of Downtown Castle Rock. Downtown Businesses can apply for a facade improvement matching grant and receive up to $1,000 toward design work and up to $5,000 toward construction costs. The DDA will match dollar for dollar the investment of the business owner for up to a maximum of $6,000.
In addition to its regular facade improvement program, the DDA offers a micro grant program. Businesses can apply in order to receive up to $1,000 to match dollar for dollar a private sector investment, for minor facade improvements or proposed improvements.

DEMOGRAPHICS
Castle Rock is a growing and changing community and we know that it is important to think strategically as we grow and change. Bi-annually we invite Elizabeth Garner, State Demographer, to Castle Rock to present demographic information to help guide strategic decisions for the Town.

STREET SIDE PATIO
Before the DDA was incorporated, the Town of Castle Rock and several interested business owners brought in consultants from Walkable Communities Inc. to help make Downtown more walkable and pedestrian friendly. Wider sidewalks and street side patios contribute to a thriving downtown and the program consistently receives positive feedback from businesses and the community.
CARRIAGE RIDES
The Downtown Merchants Association, in partnership with the Town of Castle Rock, provides low cost carriage rides every Wednesday through Saturday between Thanksgiving and Christmas for the holiday season. Carriage rides help increase visitor traffic and activate Downtown during the slower, winter months. The rides take community members on a short route through historic Downtown to view the spectacular holiday lights.
SMALL BUSINESS LOANS
In a partnership between the DDA and b:side fund (formerly Colorado Lending Source), the Castle Rock Main Street loan program is a character-based financing option available to small businesses who are unable to secure a conventional loan to start or grow their business. Loans range from $5,000 to $50,000 and can be used for a variety of business purposes.
